There are so many important problems in the world, and so many smart people trying to solve them, but the sad truth is the vast majority of them fail - not because they weren’t smart enough or their idea wasn’t good enough (although sometimes this is true) but because of avoidable missteps on the journey. I believe in cultivating a generation of self-aware, creative, resilient leaders & teams who will be at the forefront of critical change.
I believe there’s something special in a great coaching relationship. I’ve experienced it as both a client and coach. There’s magic in having someone so deeply invested in your world, in a non-judgmental manner, who can help you figure out the tangled web. We are all smart, creative, resourceful, capable people who spend so much time and energy getting in our own way. I believe great coaching is a unique way to tap into that inner competence.
My fascination with people has led me through an economics & management degree, a career building products for challenges such as opioid addiction, teaching yoga and meditation, building and coaching teams as a startup exec, training as a coach, and turning coaching into my ‘day job’. On that journey, there are a lot of things I’ve figured out I’m not good at and don’t enjoy, but coaching sits at the apex of my skills and interests and represents me at my best, with my purpose through empowering others.
